Written Confession: The 7-Foot Stranger in a Sheet
The following written confession was submitted via email:
One was an encounter when I was a kid, I still dont know what it was. But when I was around 8-10 years old, I would sit infront of the TV that was in clear view from my front door of the house which had a big decorative window. To get into the house you have to take a step up into that door way which is about a foot off the ground or so. The window started about halfway up the door and went to the top and left about an 8inch gap from the top of the window to the top of the door. It was a normal 7.5 foot door. So the top of that window would have lnded around 7.5 feet off the ground from outside looking in. Well. One night, something came to our door and knocked slowly three times on the lower half of the door, which was all wood. They were hard knocks and were pretty loud, with a deep sound. I looked over from the tv to my left where the door was down the hall. In the window see a very tall white figure. Like sheet white. No discernible features except at the head where I could make out two dark areas where the eyes were which also looked like had glasses over them. I mention the height of that door and window because whatever it was was hunching down so their eyes were just in the top of the window and the head when clear above it. It freaked me out. So I got up and crawled away to where my mom and sister were sitting behind a wall. My mom was divorced and had two kids so we did not answer the door for anyone unexpected, especially at night. This had to be around 9pm as well. And we were in a north Houston suburb where people didnt really get out that late and no one we knew would have come to us that late either. On top of that we didnt know anyone that tall. My dad was the tallest person we knew at 6’1”, and it wasnt him. When he usually came to the door he would be land about 3/4ths up the window. So whatever this was was much taller. After no one answered and I walked away from view I saw the shadow of the thing stay for a few seconds and then left the window. No cars were in font of the house at the time. After I noticed it left I quickly snuck over to the window and there wasnt anything on the street, which we were in a cul de sac so we had a clear view of the whole street. We never talked about it after that, just chalking it up to someone really tall. But man if it was a person they were VERY tall and look like they had a big white bed sheet over them.
