Written Confession: Glowing Orange Orb Floating in the Night Sky

The following written confession was submitted via email:

…this encounter happened when I was 15 living in Brentwood a small farm town in the east bay. I was out on a night walk with my older sister who was 17 or 18 at the time. We were walking down a trail near our neighborhood that goes off into a more rural area with a creek that splits two walking trails on the each side along with tall trees along both sides of the trail. As we are walking an orange glow out of the corner of my eye makes me stop and look up at the night sky. I see a glowing orange orb encased in a bubble of white light traveling through the air. The way it was moving is difficult to describe but to me it wasn’t moving like some sort of craft it wasn’t moving through means of propulsion it was just floating along quite gracefully and also quite fast as I’m staring in awe at this object it suddenly appears to be descending upon us I was hit with a fleeting moment of fear and flight or fight I wanted to run away for a split second now what happened to me next is I believe this object read my thoughts because my inner dialogue had the thought “is this thing getting closer” just as I had this thought my depth perception become warped. The more I tried to focus in on the object the harder it was for me to tell where in the sky it was. This next image is forever stitched into my memory. I look away from the object over to my sister and her face is lit up orange this object was close enough to shine light down onto us I look back at the orb and it is rapidly ascending i can see it rise through clouds until it was a pin point dot in the sky then eventually completely out of sight
