Written Confession: Don't Let Your Feet Hang Off the End of The Bed
The following written confession was submitted via email:
One night, I went to bed alone while my fiancé stayed up a couple more hours. For some strange reason, I had the feeling that I shouldn’t let my hands or feet hang off the side of the bed. I never think about that, and it’s not a fear that I’ve really ever had in my life. It was an almost paralyzing fear the more I thought about it. I eventually fell asleep though, and later I was woken up by my fiancé talking in his sleep. He does this often, and the things he says and the things he claims to see… CREEPY!
But this particular night, he woke me up by grabbing my arm and really intensely saying, “WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T LET YOUR FEET HANG OFF THE END OF THE BED. IF YOU DO, THEY’LL GET YA.”
I muttered a “Whaat?”
He blurted, “They tried to cut off my fucking hand!” Then he just rolled over and went back to sleep.
I laid there awake the rest of the night, SURE that there was something under the bed. I don’t know if that was some type of dream telepathy between us, or why we would BOTH think there was something under the bed on a random night.
He had no memory of any of it the next morning, which is typical of his sleep talking/walking.
