Written Confession: A Lucid Dream Journey to the Floating Rock Planet

After listening to the Dark Shift episodes, I thought I'd share an experience I had sometime around 2004.
This is not on the level that's covered in these episodes but it's definitely the most interesting thing that's happened to me.
A little back history here, I enrolled in a 2 week course called "Psychic Development".
It started off with learning how to meditate and then got into other topics like astral travel, remote viewing, and lucid dreaming. I was particularly interested in the lucid dreaming.
I had suffered from nightmares my whole life (mainly people trying to kill me) and the instructor said you could lucid dream to confront and control your fears.
It worked, (for about 15 years)I stood up to everything and everyone in my dreams.
So, one day in class the instructor gave us an assignment. We had to pair up with another student and try to meet up on the astral somewhere that night. Mind you, we had already covered lots of topics and exercises so this wasn't just completely out of the blue.
Anyway, I paired up with a guy named Ron (real name…lol). We briefly discussed that we would meditate before going to bed and try to meet up somehow, somewhere.
That night I did some meditation and really tried to focus on astral travel and lucid dreaming.
All of a sudden I was standing in what I thought was a completely different planet. I was standing on what seemed to be a giant rock like structure. It was dark brown in color and was sorta free floating. The "sky" was pitch black and there were stars everywhere like up and down. I looked down and noticed I was standing on a ledge that was part of this giant rock. I couldn't see behind me but I'm wondering if there was a cave or tunnel after listening to the Dark Shift episodes.
I realized I was doing my assignment from class so I started yelling for my student partner Ron.
After what seemed like a few minutes, I realized he wasn't going to show. I remember feeling surprised at how dark, empty and void everything was, yet I could still see the rock planet and the stars. It wasn't a scary experience even though this place was scary (not sure that makes sense).
Once I realized he wasn't going to show, I decided I was going to see if I could fly in this realm or wherever I was. I looked down at all the stars and just stepped off the rock ledge. I think I flew for a couple of seconds but then I got so excited that I woke myself up.
Later on I asked Ron about it and he said that he tried but for whatever reason was unable to do it.
I had one other experience where I deliberately tried to float out of my body and actually did it. I floated up to the ceiling and looked back at myself sleeping. Once again, it scared me so bad, I snapped back to reality.
It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has been to this rock planet, thing.
That's my experience, just thought I'd share.
One last thing, I moved when I was 13 but I was born and raised in Indiana.
