READ: Goblins Reportedly Terrorize Police Station in Zimbabwe As Officers Flee in Fear
What’s creeping around in Zimbabwe? Recently the Gwambe police base in Bulilima, Matabeleland South, has been abandoned by its officers due to nightly terror attacks – not from criminals, but from goblins.
Ward 2 Councillor Mabed Ngulani confirmed the supernatural situation. "We built a police station for the officers, and initially, they patrolled in pairs," Ngulani explained. "However, they haven’t been able to stay for extended periods."
According to Cllr Ngulani, the male officers reported being terrorized by female goblins at night. "They described being harassed – bodies being violated, doors opening on their own, and things climbing on the roof – making it impossible to sleep," he said.
A meeting was held with village heads and police officials from Plumtree. “The police from Plumtree withdrew the officers from Gwambe, stating they wouldn’t endanger them further,” Cllr Ngulani said. A wise move, considering no one wants to face the ire of a goblin on a bad hair day.
In response to these eerie occurrences, a meeting was held with village heads and police officials from Plumtree. The outcome was a decision to withdraw the officers from Gwambe to ensure their safety. "The police from Plumtree decided they wouldn’t endanger their officers any further," Cllr Ngulani said.
The local chief also addressed the situation, cautioning villagers against such behavior. However, finding alternative accommodation has proven to be a challenge. "Police came yesterday and said we should look for other accommodations, but there is no space at Gwambe school, and they will be using the clinic as an office for now. We’ve asked them to come back, and we'll see if the attacks continue," Cllr Ngulani explained.
Matabeleland South police spokesperson Inspector Loveness Mangena said she was not aware of the current goblin situation. It seems the goblins managed to keep their antics off the official radar – for now. But his isn't the first time Zimbabwe has had goblin trouble. Earlier this year in March, several children in Bulawayo reported being terrorized by goblins in attacks that manifested in violence and the mysterious disappearance of items.
As the community grapples with these supernatural disturbances, one thing is clear: the goblins have succeeded in their mission to terrify, at least for now. Whether the officers will return to face the night terrors or if alternative solutions will be found remains to be seen. Until then, residents are left to wonder what is really lurking in the shadows.
