Written Confession: Slithering Shadow Snake Blows Away in the Wind
The following written confession was submitted via email:
Year is 2000 in Bentonville AR. I was going to visit my brother that evening since I was in town from work. I pulled up and noticed that he had a mutual friend/acquaintance who was visiting. His name was J.T. I was there for maybe 30 min and was at the front door of his small apt ready to leave and saying my goodbyes. I walked out the front door and noticed to my right a deep black smoky snake looking thing and it was sitting/arching upright on the right side of the window and looked like it was looking into the kitchen window. It was less than 10 feet away from me. It noticed that I saw it, it turned and looked at me, started to backside down the window sill and drop into the grass and started to "Z" towards me. It got to a foot in front of me, then it took a 90 degrees and it literally turned into the wind/breeze and shot across the parking lot like a gusty wind and was gone.
Happened so suddenly that I really didn't have a chance to turn and run. My brain just couldn't believe it was happening. Arkansas has many snakes, but not ones that are pitch black and smoke coming from all around it. Not to mention it turning into wind and blowing away...
Since it's been 23 years I have my thoughts on why it was there. J.T. was the kinda guy that trouble followed him if you know what I mean. I always felt uneasy around him and really didn't hang with him because of that. So I think this thing was attached or following him no doubt. It was outside my brothers apt and wasn't inside or half in or half out of the apt wall.
