Written Confession: Night of the Living Orb in Texas

I would like to tell you about my experience that happened to me and a friend out in Breckenridge Texas where my family’s hunting land is. A few nights ago on Friday (11/29/24) me and one of my best buddies packed up our hunting and camping gear to go out to my family’s land for a Saturday morning hunt. We arrived at the land at approximately 10pm Friday night. Once there we started a campfire, sat up the chairs, and laid out our bed rolls and sleeping bags. The night started off mostly normal. The only different thing about that night was it was very quiet outside. The moon was not in the sky and it was very dark. This was our third weekend this deer season to go out there and get some hunting time in. The previous weekends were as you would expect, crickets making noise, bull frogs in the distance and every other sound that happens in the woods. We stayed up a little later than we normally would just chatting and scanning the fields with the thermal scope looking for some hogs. At about 12:30 We decided to call it a night and crawled into our sleeping bags. we had been laying down just a couple minutes when I turned over onto my other side facing the trees and I saw a glowing reddish orb floating above the mesquite trees. As soon as I noticed it I asked my friend that was less than 3 ft away from me “what in the heck is that”? We kept watching the ball of light as it moved a little bit to the left. The reddish light inside the orb was moving as if it was ALIVE. When I say as if it was alive I mean it. The light waves inside the orb were just moving from side to side and flowing. The orb then got much more bright and vibrant and a yellow streak of light starting from the bottom of the orb snaked it’s way right through the center to the top of the orb. So the reddish colors were swaying and moving then the yellow streak in the middle was also swaying and moving. It started to dim and within 3 seconds it was GONE. The whole experience lasted less than 10 seconds. After the orb faded away I looked at my friend and asked him again…. “What was that….” His first response was “I think that is what angels look like” we stayed up for hours looking through everything google had to offer for a scientific explanation and I couldn’t find anything. There was no moon out, just starlight, so this thing was the absolute brightest thing in the sky. The orb looked as if it was not super close to us, but not far away either. It appeared to be big. Not like a basketball size thing floating out there, but honestly there is not any way to tell for certain. Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy the story. The property is located south west of Breckinridge, Tx. Not too far from Hubbard creek lake. Maybe someone else out that way saw the same thing we did.
