Written Confession: Almost Reaching Jesus During a Near Death Experience
The following written confession was submitted via email in response to Episode 485: Death To Life (Members):
I really loved that episode because I had a near death experience when I was 17 however mine differed from hers. I actually saw Jesus well not his face just the back side of him and I had almost reached his hand when I was pulled back. I remember wanting to stay and wanting to reach his hand so bad because I felt the most joy & love that I don’t even have words for! I was sad that I woke up and when I did my brother was standing over me crying and the first thing I said to him was why couldn’t you just let me go. He was like I thought you were dead. That experience lead to me having no fear ever of dying. To this day I feel no anxiety about death. I was drawn to hospice nursing and did it for almost 2 yrs but I always felt like me not being afraid of death and having that experience helped me relate to my patients and really after that experience and even more after hospice nursing I feel like it was faith reaffirming.
